Hello everyone, my name is Srija I'm 14 years old and I'm a writer for EH. I'm an aspiring dermatologist and I plan on applying to Imperial/Exeter/ Cambridge. My dream to work in healthcare was fuelled by the fact that I was a very a sick child and spent a lot of time in the hospital. Luckily I had intelligent and dedicated clinicians, doctors who spoke to me directly, considered my decisions and concerns even as a little girl, doctors who remembered my name, favourite colour or a seemingly trivial story that I told them 6 months prior - who cared about me as a person, not just a patient. I'm driven by the lasting impact they left on me.
Other than this, I'm the corresponding and founding member of LDUTC's newspaper society where I write articles about revision, mental health and lifestyle. I'm also a part of my schools EDI society which organises events, I am very religious and volunteer at the temple and I play Badminton and table tennis.
